Flomotions.com, the webzine, started out in 2005 with the intention to help spread the word about up and coming bands. In fact some of the best music offered to us in years.
Apart from their obvious talent and dedication to their art, another common thread between the artists was the lack of big contracts with major record companies which also indicates a lack of financial backing. All the bands featured here have in turn and at one time or another self released an album or self financed a tour. That means money straight out of their pocket so that, you the fans, can have access to their music, on your stereo or live in front of you.
Understanding the vital importance of selling merchandise, here at Flomotions we have decided to go one step further and gather on a single site a collection of albums and other wares that are not usually widely available or can only be purchased at shows.
All merchandise presented here comes straight from the artists and their share, [a huge 70% compare to the usual measly
10-20 %, if they see any money at all. ] goes straight back to them.
By buying from us you are being much more than a fan, you’re becoming a friend in the knowledge that you are directly contributing towards the recording or pressing of your favourite band’s next album or you are helping out with the huge cost of touring, especially for US bands wanting to visit Europe.
For us, taking an interest in the bands’ welfare means caring for the future of music. We hope that you will decide to join us in our quest.
Thanks for being here and happy shopping !
Florence ACHERY.

This cult of noise-terrorists cloak themselves in melting guitars, dangerous songwriting, evil drones, hypnotic basslines, maniacally distorted beats, heavily effected/ detached vocals & other worldly sound scapes. It's dark and extreme, influenced by existentialism and avant-garde / radical/ underground currents. >> |

To be honest, calling us a band would be stretching it a bit . Like most bands, we hate the fucking sight of each other and we can only remain in the same room for short periods of time because the music we make is so special that all personal animosity is forgotten for the time we are playing it. >> |

Cleveland, Ohio’s, Pale Hollow effortlessly combines elements of roots-rock folk with the restless urgency of a rustbelt garage band. Their hook filled songs are modern, melodic and catchy, yet anchored by the solid rock and pop traditions of the 60’s and 70’s. Each band member brings a unique element to the mix, resulting in an alchemy of sound and style that is sure to please fans of the folk/ rock/ power-pop genre. >> |

A friend once referred to Sam Semple's career as the longest drum roll in history. His journey is of the long and winding type. A first-rate songwriter, very well respected, he's a sort-of modern-day British Kris Kristofferson. >> |

Long and Winding Road
The Stereo Workers Union spent years crafting the perfect debut.
H.J. DeBoe loves rock and roll. But he's no collector nerd, rock-star wannabe, or big fish in a little pond harbouring delusions of grandeur; he's just a thoroughly devoted fan and musician.
Talk with him for a few minutes, and the very cadence of his speech betrays a lifetime of rock immersion: simultaneously intelligent, blunt, opinionated, enthusiastic, and slightly adolescent -- yet realistic..>> |
